Q. What is your favourite NFaC song to play?
A. I would probably have to say 'Take me in' because it's one of those
songs which just gives you a feel good factor when you get into the rhythm
or groove of the song and lifts you up in the chorus with dynamics and
meaningful words. As a drummer/percussionist I love the drive of the song,
plus, where appropriate I get to ad-lib a little and make it a little
funky towards then end, which Paul and I love, but for some reason Daniel
seems to turn round and give us both glares! get back to your Hip-Hop
roots Goodman!
Q.
What is your favourite NFaC song to listen to?
A. Can there be just one favourite? I am very fond of 'The Western Reach'
because of the percussive nature and unusual timing (which challenges
me when playing live!), but it has a haunting and beautiful nature about
it as does 'Day of your return' which also appeals to me. Also... all
of the tracks on the New Album, 'Eternal Curve' Out October 15th 2005
from all good music stores!
Q.
What was your favourite NFaC moment?
A. Every time Dan forgets which fret to put the capo on! Plus, coming
more or less, second for the acoustic stage at Glastonbury was pretty
cool!
Q.
What music are you enjoying at the moment?
A. Well I am very fond of signed and unsigned music, so I have a vast
collection. Usually I am one to say that Christian music is over produced
and the same old stuff gets re-produced year after year, but this year
I
have bought (count them) 5 new christian based CD's! Anberlin, The Afters,
The Myriad and Mae are great rock/indie/pop albums and I love the new
Chris Rice album, which is a combination of pop and rock songs with an
acoustic edge to them. In a more mainstream sense, I LOVE the new Foo
Fighters album,
but CD2 and not CD1, which is the new acoustic album - Beautiful, perfect
songs! I am also loving the latest Tree63 album - 'The Answer to the Question'.
Excellent band, John Ellis has a fabulous voice, LIVE and Recorded and
the whole album is lyrically and musically perfect in my eyes
Q.
What was the best gig you ever went to?
A. The best gig had to be Wembly Arena and seeing Peter Gabriel with the
Blind Boys of Alabama as the warm up band and special guests. You will
never see a better show, group of phenomenal musicians and experimental
and powerful songs if you haven't experienced Peter Gabriel. It is one
thing to see a band play, it is another thing to be captivated by the
music and to be 'wowed' by an actual show/performance.
Q.
Where would you love to be right now?
A. Canada! Duh!
Q.
Preferences:
I
like to set my Windows XP desktop to 'classic theme', 1024x768 screen
resolution and showcase my personally designed desktop of a red background
with the MacDonald's Logo on and the words below, "I'm Loathin' it".
Indoors or outdoors?
Hmm... Indoors... less cold, less wet and The Simpsons on TV!
Sweet or savoury?
My doctor says savoury (Susie), my heart says Ben and Jerry's!
A book or a movie?
Amongst the Cambridge graduates and the professional team we have, I would
have to say a book. When I am not around them, a Movie! Lord of the rings
allll the way! But I do read the books!
A: What question do you wish you'd been asked? And
what was the answer?
Q: Do you enjoy playing for NFaC? A: Yes
