Thursday 29.03.07 Bill White from Chepstow says: Hi Susie, The emotion in your blog message of the 22nd Feb is so deeply felt – we really are all one in Christ after all aren't we? Still, we have to go where we're led and you can be certain that our prayers will go with you. I'm also certain that The Lord will continue to bless and bring healing through your music as well as your medical skills. The video from Saturday's Herne Bay gig will be a 'must-have' – I can hardly wait! Much Love & Blessings in Christ, Bill
Thursday 22.03.07 Joanne from Finsbury Sq, EC2 says: Hi, I think Note For a Child have been on a journey together with God and that 'we' have been on a journey with them. The last time I read Susie's blog was in a former job where I was 'temp'ing on reception. I found myself thinking that Note For a Child could use their talents to write Bible notes - I am sure they would be lovely and sensitively written - if they are anything like Susie's blog. At Greenbelt, it can't just have been me who had the big impression that they were a 'band,' an ensemble of people, who were really surrendered to God. I think the journey will continue....who knows how, where, why, when. They have been given much and have so much to give.... It takes courage to be an artist in our culture...to challenge, say and do different things..push the boundaries...I hope you guys don't ever stop daring to use the talents God has given you...you are beautiful...vulnerable...whole and a blessing. You have blessed many others with the blessings and incredible talent you have received - like the 'Good Stewards' in the biblical parable. Well, I am trying not to cry because I am working on a reception point! I hope you don't mind me sharing my thoughts like this. May the music long continue. Lots of love and hugs, Joanne
Thursday 22.03.07 Andy Weir from Broxburn, nr Edinburgh says: Wow. I was introduced to you guys thanks to CrossRhythms Direct and I have to say 'thanks'!. Eternal Curve and Impossibly Beautiful are just awesome, a real blessing and help on the road of faith. Thank you. Can I tell you something that happened while leading worship at our church recently? I keep the words of 'September Song' in my music folder ('cos they're beautifully honest) and during our worship time I felt it right to sing them over the people. I was in tears and apologise for not doing them justice(!), however the impact on the people was astounding. Isn't God good? He takes what we think are broken pieces and fits them together into something far above what we can see, hear or imagine. Peace.
Wednesday 21.03.07 Sarah from the UK says: One Monday morning I had one of the most intimate, special moments with the Holy Spirit... I was listening to the track 'Faint'. I found myself in tears as God seemed to skip and play with his radiant light deep on the inside of me, below the fake goodness and past the courts of pretence. It seemed I found the Holy of Holies inside of me...behind the misty covers of the mind and the darkness of my subconscious secrets. I was there with Him and the Holy Spirit. The moment, like a wave, rolled up a precious stone of inspiration for my art work for school and became a combined animation and moving image that I set up in a sculpture installation. I had a special confirmation from a friend through prayer, as she encouraged me to let my art become like the song hidden away in the memories of people's minds that God has sung over them before they were born. She didn't know I had just been inspired from your song!
Monday 12.03.07 Ian from Leeds says: What can we say but thankyou for a beautiful evening. We were so delighted with Saturday night; the atmosphere, the music, the support for Highway Projects. Thankyou so much for coming up to Leeds and for the whole show. We have already received lots of positive comments... and what a great evening to start our year of celebration with. Thankyou for your music....and for the words and spiritual life they conveyed. It seemed odd at times even to applaud.....how can you applaud worship? And thankyou for offering your gift to us. We were privileged to be able to hear you live before things change for you all later this year, and my thoughts and prayers will be with you at this time of transition.
Tuesday 04.03.07 Ruth from the South says: I've just read your news about Note For a Child finishing in June and I just had to write to you. I feel so saddened by your news and just wanted to let you know that you will be sorely missed. Your music is wonderful and I know seasons change and there are times when God moves us on a different path and I wish you so many of God's blessings in the future. I just so want to thank you for blessing me with your songs. They bring healing, peace and serenity to a working mum with four sons. They will continue to be played not just in my home but I'm sure all around this beautiful Island we live on. I shall treasure the opportunities I had to review some of your concerts for Cross Rhythms, and shall never forget the wonderful evening at Cambridge at the launch of Eternal Curve. Greenbelt just wont be the same this year! Hopefully we will be able to come and see you one last time at Cambridge. Be sure to keep the music in your heart. Wishing you all the best as you return to being a GP. What a wonderful, spiritual four years you have shared with us - THANK YOU SUSIE! and God bless! Peace and happiness to you.
Monday 25.02.07 Debbie from Kent says: Greetings from sunny Herne Bay! Thank you so much for a marvellous evening yesterday. The church looked lovely the way you had set up; and your music, as usual, was fabulous. We had age variations in the audience from 7-90 years and all enjoyed :-) I heard nothing but positive after the gig. This morning I have been bombarded with messages and texts singing your praises. Your professionalism and easy-going manner made it a delight...We really put on last night as a "light touch" evangelistic event which meant many of us bringing non-churched friends. It was a huge sucess. Hope all goes well with return to GPing. Love and Blessings.
Monday 22.01.07 Isobel from Chepstow says: Dear Susie and everyone in the band, Thank you so very much to you all for a wonderful concert on Friday evening! We really appreciated your coming all that way just to play for us; a long hard day and we can’t thank you enough. We hope your journey back went smoothly and without incident – you were all covered by prayer well into the early hours. Everyone thought your music and lyrics were incredibly beautiful and many were moved to tears. Here are some of the comments made:
· WOW!
· Fabulous music………and in Chepstow too, how amazing is that!
· The words really touched my heart……..I cried but found healing in them too……thank you so much
· What lovely people (ie. You and the band J ) and what a witness………quiet sincerity, moving lyrics, touching and melting hearts…….and all for God’s glory!
· When are they coming back?
· I never thought Christian music could be like that………..it’s exciting yet gives you peace…..
· Why aren’t they on the telly?
· Very professional performance, gifted musicians and a superb evening!
· Very moving and poetic………I’m so glad I bought the CD’s and can sing along now with the right words!
...the Holy Spirit touched many people that night. Heaven was definitely listening in too! Thank you so much for being a stunningly memorable part of our witness to Chepstow this year.
Monday 22.01.07 Lisa from Chepstow says: I attended your concert on Friday last and didn't manage to come and meet you all afterwards but would like to say that you are truly brilliant!
Tuesday 09.01.07 Carolina from Colombia says: Dear Susie, I am writing from Baranquilla, Colombia to say that it is a real blessing to listen to your songs on the webside and I listen to them many many times. I particularly like September Song, The Day of Your Return and Impossibly Beautiful. This is a message to say Congratulations! I do like your music. Also I would like to know if there is not possiblities that the group may come to Colombia?
Friday 27.10.06 Vikki from County Durham says: I just had to E-Mail you; I bought the album Impossibly Beautiful in 2004 at Easter People in Scarbro', although it had sat in my CD collection without me really listening to it much (SORRY!! I'm now regretting the years I could have been listening to your beautiful music). Earlier this year I changed the CD's in my car and included this album, I Have to write and tell you how absolutely wonderful it is!!! I especially love the title song with its beautiful moving words it has touched me deeply. I have even played it to friends when we met one evening it has made such an impact on me...I hasten to add that they loved it too.I decided to look on the net to see if there was any info about Note For a Child and found your website and have been eagerly listening to the samples of Eternal Curve, and am now going to buy it ASAP, I know it's been out for a while and I'm sure you are working on the next album but I need to buy it. I just wanted to let you know that I have found music that has touched me deeply and to thankyou for the gift of music you have all brought to God's world. Thank you!! I am now an avid fan af Note For a Child!
Friday 08.09.06 Jo from London says: A wet, muddy afternoon at Greenbelt...in the Performance Cafe...listening to Note for a Child...this was a special moment. Besides their beautiful sound, which encourages others to be creative, they are obviously 'face down worshippers'. Two years earlier I had listened to their music alot as I thought about someone I cared about and felt concerned for - their music helped me bring my thoughts into God's presence. When someone I cared about was killed, the words from 'Always' helped me to escape from despair; the words seemed fitting to include on a card to help describe my feelings for this person who had gone to be with God. Hope you enjoy masses of blessings...and wonderful inspired times with God....you are a blessing... Lots of love xxxxxxxxx
Tuesday 05.09.06 Joe from Bangor, Wales says: I thought you were excellent at Greenbelt's performance cafe this year. I especially liked 'Faint', 'September Song' and of course the percussion on The Western Reach :)
Sunday 03.09.06 Heather Ross says: I just wanted to thank you for the beautiful gig you did in the performance cafe at Greenbelt. I've never heard any of your music before and was in the performance cafe by chance when you started. I was absolutely blown away by the beauty of your music. There isn't much music like yours around at the moment and I absolutely love it! September Song in particular, as it had me bawling like a baby for about half an hour after you finished! All the best for the future and particularly looking forward to seeing you perfom again soon!
Friday 01.09.06 Allan and Michelle Gibson from Wiltshire say: We have just returned from Greenbelt, and wanted to say thank you soooo much for an amazing performance! It was such a shame it was so short. We 'found' your music accidently at Greenbelt '05 and were taken in straight away...bought the CD within half an hour of seeing you at the performance cafe. Never before has music inspired us like yours. Your music is incredible, dramatic, emotional, powerful and haunting. Our children listen to you when they are getting ready for bed, and were very excited to meet you when they got your autograph at the weekend. Well, thank you for coming into our lives; we can't wait for the next album...and look forward to coming to a NFaC gig. Allan and Michelle
Tuesday 29.08.06 Ian White from Sheffield says: I'm the guy who rushed up at the end of the Greenbelt gig to say thanks for a tremendous, but far too short, gig and to mention our charity Highway Projects and to make enquiries about a possible future Note for a Child gig...Your work is tremendous. I love the mixture of styles and influences. 'Faint' made me nearly weep. The gig (one of only two things I got to over the weekend due to my HP work in The Pulse) was too short! Do you do drama - your personal presence on stage is full of it. When are you next gigging in the north?
Tuesday 29.08.06 Sam Donaldson from Hull says: I've just been to Greenbelt and heard Note for a Child play. You were awesome. There are so many great acts that play at Greenbelt but I have to say that you were the best by far. Both the sound and the lyrics really moved me. Thank you.
Tuesday 29.08.06 Esther says: Greenbelt gig was amazing! First time I've ever seen you live and I thought it was brilliant!! Will be seeing you again soon hopefully!
Tuesday 22.08.06 Paul Butcher from High Wycombe says: Saw you (again) at New Wine B on 3 August - another stunning performance - was one of the ones who spoke to you afterwards. Thank you all so much for a brilliant performance, and for two wonderful albums, which lift me whenever I listen to them. Both of the friends with me (who had never heard of NfaC but went on my recommendation), bought both CDs - what more can you say. Your music is just so incredibly beautiful, powerful, spiritual and moving. Tomorrow, my church home group is having a 'bring your favourite album to share' evening. I just can't make up my mind - Impossibly Beautiful, or Eternal Curve? Will probably take them both!
Saturday 19.08.06 Linda J from Idaho Falls says: I am new to your music. All I can say is 'wow!'. So real and intimate. I wrote a review for another cd on an independent site and the links led me to you....a definite God appointment! I was looking for something fresh, alive, and different. You didn't disappoint. I have 'Impossibly Beautiful' and look forward to adding 'Eternal Curve' soon. Thanks.
Monday 07.08.06 Jennifer Scott Thompson says: This is just a quick note to say I loved your gig at New Wine B and having just listened to your first album, I really like it! Thank you for your music.

Saturday 27.05.06 Laura Bradford from all over the Midlands says: Hi there. Wow. I got hold of a sampler CD with some Iona, Note For a Child etc... and I've really enjoyed your tracks on there... Vermeer's Astronomer, This River etc. I've been to New Wine regularly for the past few years- and I've seen it advertised that you're playing there but never made it.. this year however there will be no excuses! 27th July in Newark. I cant wait! Your tracks are so oozing, refreshing and original. Keep up the good stuff! May God bless you in your continuing ministry. Much love. Laura .www.myspace.com/beacone
Tuesday 04.05.06 Bernadette from Glasgow says: Hi Susie and the Gang! Still listening to Impossibly Beautiful and Eternal Curve. New sounds pop out all the time. Never will tire of them - might need to replace them having bored holes in them but will never tire. Susie - my heart goes out to you and your family but with God at the helm it will all come good in the end. Take care all. Hope to get to see/hear you guys live again soon. B.
Thursday 04.05.06 Thomas from Scotland says: Hey Susie...Just wanted to say thanks for your performances at Roots06 - caught all of the one at the Southport Theatre and saw some of the one at the Exhibition Tent. Unfortunately I never got to meet the band in person... so I thought I'd take this opportunity to say how much I love Note For a Child's sound... Really is where I am at... Impossibly Beautiful is on right now on the iPod... I'm a big fan of downbeat, chilled music... and your sound fits so easily into what I enjoy... You'd be ideal at the Big Chill! Just please don't refer to your music as "chill out"- that's such a lazy term used by journos to sweep broad brushes over the more delicate and downbeat... Your music is far more - I like the term "ambient/ meditative"... Anyway, I've blogged you, put out the word to my friends around the world...Love, blessings, peace. When are you coming to Scotland?
Wednesday 03.05.06 Janet Murfin from North Wales says: Hi Susie, Just wanted to say how much my fiance and I enjoyed your music at ROOTS last weekend. Your music and songs immediately reached out to us and we are now "hooked" on Note For a Child. It was so refreshing to hear God praised in such a different and special way. I have been looking at your web site whilst listening to your two CD`s, that you kindly signed for us on Saturday lunchtime. I was so interested to read you were a GP. My background is nursing but have changed my career path. I also hope to become Lieutentant in the Salvation Army in the future too working with the homeless. God works in our lives in strange ways, and ways we don`t expect. He has certainly enabled you to use your gift of music and words to reach out to many other people. I bet you were a great GP too! With God`s blessings and may you continue to have great success. Thank you.
Wednesday 03.05.06 Peter van de Venis from Holland says: Hi. I was at 'ROOTS 06' last weekend, and I must say you were great! You really make original great music! beautiful lyrics!
Tuesday 02.05.06 Bruce Braithwaite from Spring Harvest says: Thanks for a great concert at Skegness. I was in the alternative evening meeting when you sang the single number, and decided to go to your late night concert. The mix of vocals and drums and the images on the screen was really great. One of the real awakenings for me at Spring Harvest was the way in which one can use visual images to convey thoughts and to set the scene for prayers and discussion. It was great just to sit back and let the images wash over whilst listening to your music. Thanks again for a great concert.
Thursday 20.04.06 Sonia Adkin from Stamford says: Dear Susie, I have just read the blog on your website; in it you pray that you would be as refreshing to the Prisons Fellowship Conference as this Norwegian band had been to you. I am contacting you to say that that's exactly what you were! I felt very refreshed; so much so that, when I feel tired as I did tonight, I put on the Cd Impossibly Beautiful in hope of the same experience and it does refresh me! Many thanks for coming all that way to play to us; prison work can be draining, just organising yourself to get there round family commitments is an effort.God Bless
Wednesday 19.04.06 Alberto Arlenghi from Colchester says: Susie, I find your music profoundly inspired in enhancing God's spirituality in man; with tinges of Eastern beauty and flowing in a river of love, this is a heavenly earthly world.
Tuesday 18.04.06 Bill White from the Wye Valley says: When I came in during your first song at Minehead, I couldn't believe what I was seeing and hearing. I didn't think you were real. Part of me thought I had left my earthly body, died and gone to heaven- but that was OK as the angels were putting on a gig for us! You conjured up thoughts of Galadriel, tall and beautiful…As if the whole musical and visual experience wasn't enough…I think all the associations with which you flooded my soul were meant for healing. Tanya, my wife, has said that since the concert it seems like 'something' has lifted off me. It was quite a shock when you announced the 'last' song - I felt like: 'what do mean last song? This is eternity isn't it? This will go on for ever, won't it?' It was as if I had found again my 'first love' of Jesus as in Revelation 2. I was still in a dream when I spoke to you and Nick after the concert… so much beauty in voice, personality and appearance…the percussion riffs were just incredible and vocals out of this world. You took my breath away. I shall never breathe the same air again. Love in Christ, Bill
Monday 17.04.06 JKmedia from Cheltenham says: Susie, NFaC, What a fab gig the other evening at Spring Harvest- a great performance with a quality sound/visual presentation of a powerfully eclectic mix of media and music. I'm glad I was able to see you all performing live having picked up your first album at last year's event. That album has been a therapy for me during some personal bleak moments at the start of this year. I'm now looking forward to playing the 2nd album and feeding my own musical inspiration and creativity. Do continue to express and communicate your refreshing style of music and enjoy the opportunities to present it live at various events during the coming months. Thnx
Friday 14.04.06 Mrs. Judith Mead from Leicester says: We were at your gig at Spring Harvest,Minehead. Don't quite know how to say how good you all were...the music was so creative and beautiful and you girls were captivating in your performance. You have such a rare gift to translate your feelings into a performance of art, poetry, music and movement. The visual effect was stunning, less being more! Thank you so much for enhancing our Spring Harvest experience and I m delighting in the fact I have the CD s to remind me of the week and relive some of those deep spiritual moments evoked in Minehead.
Wednesday 22.02.06 Margaret Dennis from Sible Hedingham says: Hi Susie. You kindly autographed my CD Impossibly Beatiful and I was so blessed by that. I should have come to your concert on Saturday the 18th of february at Hedingham Baptist Church in Sible Hedingham. Fred Daborn got it for us as I was so looking forward to coming to your concert but I am ill at the moment. I have to see a Haematologist at Colchester General to see what is to be done with me as I have a blood abnormality. I was so thrilled to listen to your lovely voice and wish you all the best when you do more concerts. Thanks once again. By the way I have had poetry published and have composed my own music but this illness has put it on hold for the time being. Its so annoying to have to wait but our fellowship have been great and so supporting. May the Lord bless you and keep you safe dear Susie. God Bless
Monday 13.02.06 Jonathan Coote from Owen Sound says: I am so happy to have discovered your music- I have listened to your sound clips and am so blessed by your beautiful sound. Is it to late for the exclusive free track mp3 you mention on your site? I live in Canada and have not been able to purchase cd as I am on a pension I would love the track to tie me over until one day I can get your disc.
Friday 10.02.06 Johan Doornenbal from The Netherlands says: Greetings from the Netherlands. This is just to let you know how I appreciate the two albums I came across: Impossibly beautiful and Eternal Curve. A 17 year old friend of mine told me about you and lend me the first album. I studied music myself and love to worship and write songs etc. One of my frustrations was that I like the anointing on lots of Christian productions, but not the quality of music etc. I am so glad to come across your music: especially your second album (Eternal Curve)...it beats almost everything I have heard so far. 'Faint' and 'Ides' are of exceptional beauty and go straight into my heart!! I know you will praise God for the songs, but thank you anyway. Just to let you know.
Wednesday 08.02.06 Deborah Dabbs from Alsager,Stoke on Trent says: Got to hear about you and your music from an article in the 'Christian Herald'. 'Impossibly Beautiful' was so refreshing and beautiful to listen to. Really inspiration. Getting to hear you Spring Harvest last year was tremendous... to hear not just the music but what inspired you to write it. Brilliant. 'Eternal Curve' superb! Thanks so much for letting God use you in this way. Praise the Lord!
Friday 03.02.06 Di Phaby from Redruth says: I came across you all and your wonderful music, when a small group from our church in Portreath, Cornwall made our first visit to New Wine in 2005. My friend Ben and I wanted to hear different types of music apart from the worship bands in the main arena. That is when we came across you. I must say we were, and are, greatly impressed. I have recently used your CDs at an Alpha Holy Spirit week-end where we introduced fluid worship. Your music was the back drop to a very moving and Spirit filled week-end. Any chance of you coming closer to the other side of the country any time? I would love to see you live again (so to speak!) Thank you for blessing us with your music.
Friday 27.01.06 Rik Hemmingfield from Christchurch says: Hi Daniel and everyone else, Have a great day tomorrow!!! God's best is always there for you all Rik & Co
Friday 27.01.06 Martin from Placerville says: In the world of music that expresses faith, I find Note For a Child to be a breath of fresh air... exploratory music coupled with poetic lyrics. The genuine-ness is wonderful. I do hope you find a way to come across the pond and play in the U.S. I should be more specific... hopefully play near enough I could come!!! Best to each of you!
Tuesday 24.01.06 Hannah from Cardiff says: I came across you guys by accident when a friend gave me your album- I am so glad that he did. 'Impossibly Beautiful' has become the album that I turn to when I need reassurance and peace from God. I'm so pleased that there is a second album. God has blessed not only you and your music richly but those who listen. Keep up the great work and thanking you for helping me to find my favourite song.
Wednesday 11.01.06 Hollifer from Cambridge says: Hello! Really sad that when I was at Greenbelt I didn't get to hear you- but David said that your music was great and now I've heard some of the stuff on the albums I agree! Really hope I get to hear you live this year. Hope Burwell goes ok!
Sunday 8.01.06 Thorby van Gilst from The Hague(Holland) says: Hi,guys!First time visiting this site.I am impressed of your sound and music. I really enter into spiritual dimensions where I sense a taste of true peace and true home.In my spirit I feel something like:This is the place where I`ve always wanted to be. Please keep on searching into the spiritual realm for more of the treasures of our great God and Saviour!!!!!! Greetings from Thorby(The Hague,Holland).
Sunday 18.12.05 Stuart from Gloucester says: Just a short email to thank you guys for your music this year. I have really been so blessed by your work, and I so look forward to an exciting year ahead. I wish Daniel all the best in what God has planned for him for the future. However, I am sure that Note For a Child will continue to create and develop new music for, I hope, many years to come. Once again, thank you and I wish you a very Happy Christmas and Peaceful new Year, Stu.
Friday 16.12.05 Allan says: I first heard you at Greenbelt, 2005, in the Live Bar one sunny afternoon. It was such a peaceful experience. My wife and I had managed to drop the kids off at kids club. We sat down with our best friends outside of the tent (only place we could grab a seat....). It was such a beatiful moment. We bought Impossibly Beautiful the next day (and a copy for our friends). Have tickets for next year's Greenbelt. Hope to see you there again.
Friday 16.12.05 Babs from Hampshire says: Hi. Saw you perform last year at New Wine and absolutely loved it. Bought your first album and just got myself the new one. I think it's phantastic. Hope to see you perform live sometime soon. Thank you for your inspiring music.
Friday 16.12.05.Jodie from New York says: I heard about Note For a child from a friend who came out to New York to visit me and she recommended that i listen to Impossibly Beautiful. It gripped me instantly. This past summer my husband and i were in a nasty car accident and he suffered a massive head injury. We were told that he would never come out of his coma. However God has been amazing and my husband is doing really well. He is due to come home on Tuesday! He will need a massive amount of therapy but God has done some incredible things. Through all of this listening to your tracks really helps me to find inner peace and reminded me that God is holding my hand. He has promised me that there is an awesome rainbow to follow this storm and i am holding on to that promise. Thank you so much for that part that you have played in this difficult time! Your music has just blessed me so much.
Friday 16.12.05 Sharon from Arizona says: Blessings from Arizona, USA! I heard about Note For a Child from a friend in Texas. She was in Phoenix for a visit and played it while we were leaving a shopping mall. Not exaggerating... once I hit Impossibly Beautiful, I could not drive... I stopped, I groaned and wept. I love it when that happens! Our church is having a ladies brunch and they have put in a request for copyright permission for using that song during a Jesus movie montage. I want the women to be gripped with His wonder, beauty and love and be changed forever. You will be touching so many lives... Thank you is not enough. The Lord continue to pour into you all that HE is!
Friday 16.12.05 Colin and Amelia from Taunton say: What an extraordinarily beautiful and exquisite evening Note For a Child treated us to. You took us somewhere very special - I thank you with all my heart. Please extend my thanks to John, Andy, Nick, Daniel and Paul. Many have shared with me how touched they were on that evening - touched by something transcendent, mysterious, wonderful, beautiful - God's love I think.
Friday 16.12.05 George from down South says: Thanks so much for sending the CD, I was chuffed to bits when I got it and couldn't wait to get the headphones out and listen to it straight away. I have to tell you, I absoutlely love it! There's always that fear that a band you like will produce an amazing first album because its been put together over years of creative process and songwriting, but that the second album will be more shallow (I'd have to cite Dido as an example), but you guys have really pulled it out of the bag a second time. I've barely taken the CD out of the player since I got it, and my favourite tracks so far (although they're all great) are The Floating World, Song for Tomorrow and Loving You. You guys should be really proud of this, which I'm sure you are!
Thursday 15.12.05 Andy Balls from Southampton says: Hi guys, fantastic job on the new album. I've been a fan of you guys since the original EP and I bought the new album only last week as a Christmas present for my Mum. I rather cheekily decided to have a listen of the CD when it came through and upon hearing the opening I decided that I needed to order my own copy - which I just did - completed by the end of Track 2! Thanks so much for being so clever and thoughtful about your music - it's clear that the message of your songs comes from more than just the words, meaning that your textures and timbres are so rich and fulfilling - unlike anything else I've heard from Christian artists. God bless you guys in all your future projects. Andy
Monday 21.11.05 Johan Collee from Gorinchem NL says: Dear people, I heard Note for a child about a year ago on a cd from a friend. I was immediately impressed by the beautiful songs, so I decided to buy the latest cd too and I hope it is just as good as the other ones. Although I like a lot of other music-styles too, like symphonic rock and prophetic music such as the songs of Jason Upton,I think the music of Note for a Child is 'impossibly beautiful' indeed.
Saturday 19.11.05 Andy Gilmore from Cambridge says: Just to say a big thanks for the gig at Queen Edith - wonderful, thoughtful music. You did really well with the kids. Joseph and I were mesmorised! Cheers. Andy G
Thursday 27.10.05 Ed Vegso from Maplewood New Jersey says: Hi Dan and Susie! Ed, Ashley, and Jacob from Maplewood, New Jersey are enjoying your God given gift of music. Wednesday 19.10.05 Lynn Medlock from City Church Cambridge says: I want to congratulate you both on your amazing performance on Saturday. You were so relaxed and natural and a joy to listen to. It is exciting to be able to witness the transition in your music during the past 2 years. A truly professional team. I love the new songs and still enjoy playing the older ones. Long may you keep producing the beautiful lyrics and awesome music. Liked your red dress Susie and the new style drum Dan! Friends will be getting the CD for Christmas!! Love and hugs Lynn
Friday 21.10.05 yuko from kobe Japansays: Hi Susie and Daniel! Thank you for your email. My friend,Deborah loves your songs. especially'Impossibly beautiful'. Last month I stayed at her house and she played your album. It's really healing, soft and beautiful.. In Lyric you said 'I am a japanese house made of paper' Does it mean 'I'm fragile or sensitive'? as you know there are no houses made of paper in Japan.. Now I am looking forward to having your CDs ,which I order, from U.K! Love yuko Xx
Thursday 20.10.05 Chris Young from Auckland - NZ says: Hey Dan, first-up: congrats on your engagement - marriage rocks! I haven't been to the NFaC site for ages, so its fantastic to see how far you guys have come. That begs the question: when are you going to come and play at the Parachute Festival? It would be good to see you down here on the far-side of the world. Keep up the great work and keep flying Jesus banner. Ciao form your old friend and once flatmate. C : )
Monday 17.10.05 Nick and Gesa from Cambridge say: How great to see you perform here in Cambridge once again, we had a wonderful time at Brickfields on Saturday. We realy like the way the new songs blend so well with the old, both following and developing the style we have come to love so much. We wish you all the best with the band, and life in general. Congratulations also, Daniel, on your engagement.
Monday 17.10.05 Alan Webb from Chelmsford says: Dear Susie and Daniel, It was good to see you both in Cambridge on Saturday. It was an excellent evening. I was able to listen to Eternal Curve yesterday and consider it to be an outstanding CD in every respect. I found it difficult to follow the lyrics on Saturday but these are crystal clear on the CD. Of all the numbers which you sang on Saturday 'Faint' remains in the memory. It is never clear as to why God's Word to us personally is not always apparently fulfilled and some of us have had to live with this for years - and usually we can't share such things with others, in case its deemed that we are either lacking faith or undergoing some crisis in our own walk with God. Bless you for your honesty and for the song, which now joins a number of personal Note For A Child favourites of mine. I'm planning to bring one or two others to your event in Suffolk in a couple of week's time. Bless you both and thanks to all the Band and support crew. Good to hear the full Note For A Child sound..great musicians!
Thursday 13.10.05 Seb from London says: Both 'Impossibly Beautiful' and 'Eternal Curve' show a stunning array in both depth and wealth, of truely exceptional songwriting talent. The extent of this intense sensory delight is enhanced delicately and insightfully by intricately woven melodies. I am left in deep, profound respect of it's creators.
Wednesday 05.10.05 John Toller from Dundee says: First heard of you guys on a 'CrossRhythms' magazine demo cd. I was so blown away that for the first time ever I went and bought Impossibly Beautiful on the strength of that one track. And what an amazing album it is, I keep hearing new sounds, different lyrics strike me each time I listen - it's made me smile, made me cry, inspired me, and most fantastically, helped me to get my eyes fixed on God in some of the most difficult times of my life, especially that one line: 'Here in my brokenness, everything changes but You.' And now there's another album, I'm going to be sitting by the door tomorrow just waiting for the postman to deliver it, I'm so excited at the prospect of making new discoveries through this album... I'm sure I'll be talking about it to my friends as much as with Impossibly Beautiful - you've given me a very special gift through your music, and I don't want to keep that to myself!
Friday 30.09.05 Loic from Grenoble says: That's funny.... : Virginie Brun (from Paris) also loaned me your CD!!! :) And I loved it so much I'll now buy the new one...!!!!! I hope it's as good as the first one!!! :D

Thursday
08.09.05 Aileen from Cambridge
says: have either of you heard much of lamb? your live shows, general
sound and mood really remind me of them (right down to daniel's bongo
drum bit in the gig i came to last year)... if not and you're interested
in hearing it then give me a shout and i can bring a cd along to church
to lend you sometime... i was listening to impossibly beautiful in my
office at work last week (after a bit of a break where it got overtaken
by new stuff i'd got and sunk from the top of my cd pile and i forgot
about it) and it made me cry, very embarrasingly :) this was after a morning
of listening to eels, radiohead and nine inch nails with no such effect...
i tend to give christian bands extra points and listen to stuff i wouldn't
listen to otherwise but don't have to do that with you - its ace stuff...
Monday
05.09.05 Fran from Warrington
says: Your music is beautiful. I have been listening to Late and Alone
and I love the acoustic arrangements. My husband thinks the songs are
very special too. I have a lot of pain, and I have found Sky in Your Eyes
and Loving You especially comforting in the lonely hours of the night
when it's hard to pray. Thank you.
Friday
02.09.05 steve from chesterfield
says: hi. i went to see y friday in derby, and cross rhythms gave out
a sample cd (experience 28). your song impossibly beautiful was on. i
liked it, so went to the cross rhythms website, looked up your name and
read the review, so went and bought via your website. i dont think there
was a link to
your site, but typing note for a child in google worked. great cd too.......there's
too many indie christian bands, who try to mimic secular bands, but most
are kinda average. thats why i like your cd....its not like full of drums
and average guitaring, SHOUTING 'i love god' type o' stuff, its SINGING
'i love god'.
Friday

says: Thank you guys for some of the most atmospheric and reflective music
I've heard in years. I had only heard a couple of your tracks on sampler

different music styles over the years, and I have to say what you're doing
is such a refreshing change from the norm. I have now ordered your album
and EP and have spent time sharing your music with different friends and
family. Thanks again- Stu

Tuesday
09.08.05 Jane Burton from Glossop
says: We saw you live, my husband and I, at 'New Wine North' in Harrogate.
We know little of how to describe what excites us in music, but your work
wholly encompassed it! Now we have a reference band to share with others
where our words fail, and ironically your work left us more speechless
than normal! The song Daniel wrote, introduced as being about someone
he'd fallen in love with ('Sky in your eyes'), made my insides dance and
tears freely flow! Your (signed! - felt like an awestruck school girl
asking!) album is now headlining our collection. Can't wait for more.
Thank you.
Monday
08.08.05 Geoff Adams from Shoreham says:

19.07.05 Paul Howes from Leicester
says: The CDs came and are quite beautiful in every way. I love the photography,
the poetry, the typography and especially the music. I had a disturbed
night's sleep the day before yesterday and ended up getting up at 5 am.
I sat in my garden with a cup of tea watching the sun coming up over the
distant tree-line as I listened to 'Who is this that arises like the dawn?
Fair as the moon, bright as the sun, my Lord'. I was moved to worship.I
think your creativity honours the Creator in whose image you were made.
Tuesday
19.07.05 Emma and Jeremy from Birmingham
says: Wow, it's an amazing CD. We can't stop listening to it! All the
layers, the atmosphere, the words.... It's so moving and inspirational
and expressive - these words don't do it justice. You hear different things
every time. We love it, so had to buy it for some friends of ours, as
well as my mother, who tells me she LOVES it and is going to buy more
copies to pass on!Thank you.

Saturday
23.04.05 Margaret from Corsham
says: Just wanted to say I saw you for the first time at Spring Harvest
Minehead this year, in the After Hours concert. Only saw you perform a
handful of songs but immediately liked what I heard and was comforted
and encouraged at a difficult time. So I bought your album Impossibly
Beautiful and have been listening to it ever since, frequently find the
music running through my mind even when I'm not playing the CD. You have
a unique sound that is wonderfully soothing and understated compared to
a lot of the more brash worship sounds. I look forward eagerly to your
next album. Thanks for all you do.

Thursday
21.04.05 Ian Gasson from Sawbridgeworth (HERTS)
says: ...wow, just heard your CD. Thankyou for producing something so
good. The album as a whole is great and I really got into God listening
to it. Musically, tracks 1 and 2 are easily the best thing I've heard
in around two years Christian or secular(I'm fairly arrogant about music...being
a musician I guess!).
Wednesday
20.04.05 Jenny from Taichung, Taiwan
says: Met you guys a few summers ago during the birth of this first album.
Absolutely loved it. Loved it so much, in fact, that I thought of you
all this week while at an open mic night here in Taiwan and was reminded
of the simple, eclectic, yet folk feel of your music. I recalled nights
in my little B&B falling asleep to the comforting melody of 'impossibly
beautiful', so, I hunted down your website again, after all these years,
and hope that the CD's I ordered can make their way across two continents
to this little island on the other side of the world. Susie, Daniel (and
others): thanks for your commitment to Christ. Shine on.
Tuesday

Tuesday
14.04.05 Liz Gray from Coventry

as usual, right though, you were incredible at After Hours at Minehead.
I'd been looking forward to seeing you live since our friend brought us
back the CD from Spring Harvest last year. Truly breathtaking. Impossibly
Beautiful has encouraged and uplifted me throughout what hasn't been an
easy year, making me realise more and more that it is his hope that holds
me and he never changes. Thank you. Psalm 126v6. Just two questions...
1. Are you guys going to make it to Coventry at all? 2. Does anyone else
think that Daniel looks a bit like the lovely Mr. Bedingfield or is it
just me?!

17.03.05 David Baker from Nairobi
says: I am working in Africa at the moment and Impossibly Beautiful has
been the soundtrack to my trip! I have listened to it whilst driving in
an overland truck through some of God's most amazing creations and into
some of the most rural communities in East Africa. I have relaxed on my
days off falling asleep to it in a hammock, I have slept on top of the
truck underneath the stars in Tanzania listening to it! It has accompanied
me in soaking up the view of the mighty Nile. We drove from Nairobi through
the mountains to Lake Naivasha listening to it! It's awesome! I've also
been listening to it whilst seeing some difficult sights too and God has
used your music to bring hope and comfort. GOD IS SO IN YOUR MUSIC. It
seriously has blessed my socks off!

I happened across your album in a Christian bookshop the other day when
I was looking for CD's to use for 'soaking'. On a Wednesday night we put
out easy chairs, cushions etc. in the church and spend a couple of hours
just resting in God's presence and letting him touch our hearts through
music. Well when I played 'impossibly beautiful' it was overwhelming,
God's presence just filled the room. Several people want to buy it and
I think the album is one of the most beautiful albums I've heard in ages.
Brilliant cover design, quality voices, poetic lyrics, it has a Holy quality
about it. WELL DONE. Dave

29.09.04 Harold Meeker from Luton says:
Noteforachild represents the true meaning of artists. They are so talented
and pure in every sense of the word. Their songs will flow in your hearts
forever. 'Impossibly Beautiful' is an uplifting song but yet angelic sounding
with all the harmonies and background instruments. 'The Day Of Your Return'
is reflective and graceful to the point that I felt like I was floating
in the heavens and what a great place to escape to. 'September Song' is
captivating, graceful, angelic and heavenly all rolled into one. I highly
recommend this CD to anyone. You will be hooked for life as this is the
type of music we yearn for after a long day and especially during these
times of grief and sadness. Nfac help take me back to a world that is
tame.

11.07.04 Trevor from North London
says: Thank you for making such a beautiful album. I have found the combination
of words and music make me both soar like an eagle at times, and be held
and comforted at other times. This is powerful. I'll look out for your
live shows when you're down this way.
Monday
05.07.04 Marcus Robbins from Oxford
says: I first tried listening to your CD while riding an exercise bicycle,
and soon realised that the two did not go together - this was music that
demanded my whole attention. When I did that, unlike the bicycle, I was
very moved. It is indeed very beautiful, both music and lyrics, and I
felt very uplifted. Congratulations - I look forward to the next CD!
Tuesday

says: What a fantastic album. I bought it at Spring Harvest this year
and have listened to it constantly ever since...in the car, out with my
walkman, at work, at home and with friends. I have never been so blessed.
Musically it so well crafted and that really gives me a buzz. But the
lyrics....God has used those words to speak to me over and over again.
It has absolutely blessed the socks off me. Christian and non-Christian
friends alike have all been touched by your music. The Holy Spirit is
using you and your music in an amazing way. Thankyou and may you continue
to be open to the Holy Spirit's leading.Karin

Tuesday
13.04.04 Derek Finch from America
says: Well this bloke I met at a wedding gave me this red and white CD
and told me to give it a listen. Said it was a slow burn. So, after the
wedding, we all say our respective goodbyes and are soon driving off back
to the airport. In goes the CD. W--O--W !!!! The sound climbed out of
the speakers, bodily enveloped me and whisked me away to a place so rarely
visited, where, at this moment, I am still standing (kneeling? floating?).
The understated music, intimate vocal performance and covert lyrics combine
to form an exponentially greater product than any element could have achieved
on it's own. I listen again and again and again and simply want to breathe
it all in and not exhale! To the degree that music can lift the human
soul into the presense of God while at the same time reminding him of
his total unworthyness to enjoy such elevation, this disc can claim to
have reached such a plateau. I could go on (and I still might) but I should
make it clear at this point that I did like it and have to strongly disagree
with Daniel that it is a slow burn. As my Irish grandfather would say,
'tree tumbs up'!!!
Friday
02.04.04 BassOfHearts from Cambridge
says: Yeah...I agee with Anna...the site also reflects the progress made
from the summer of 2003! Long may it continue.
Friday
02.04.04 David Baker from Manchester
says: Just taking another opportunity to say how fantastic the album is
and also the brand-spanking new website too, beautiful indeed. 'All of
life is movement...' Lyrics that take your breath away and music that
encourages silence rather than adding to the noise. A valuable discipline
in this loud world. Be encouraged!
Friday
02.04.04 Anna from Cambridge says:
I have to say, I've been waiting in great anticipation for the new site
to go up AND I AM NOT DISAPPOINTED!!! I have only had time to quickly
zip through it, so will be back to settle down for a proper look later.
It is all clear and beautiful; really encapsulating the online essence
of Note For a Child. Big WELL DONE to all involved!
Friday
26.03.04 Kristoffa Veelliarmsun from London Town
says: just wanted to say a quick thanks and a big wow... having listened
to the album for the umpteenth time, I enjoy your tunes more than ever.
The timing and the interweaving of tones and textures is genius, like
on 'The rain' and the hidden track which is stunning. and 'Take me in'
is my big favourite for getting up in the morning. ps. I particularly
like the atmospheric seagull noises on 'How glad I am'. Love.
Tuesday
23.03.04 Phil the Toe-Twiddler from Cambridge says:
Any antidotes out there? I've got that blooming tune Day of Your Return
in my head and can't get it out. I take the CD out of my player, and it
just finds it's way back in there on it's own! You really ought to release
it as a single! All the best TTTTTTTTTTT
Tuesday
23.03.04 Mairi from Cambridge says:
'A thing of beauty is a joy forever; Its loveliness increases; it will
never Pass into nothingness; but still will keep A bower quiet for us,
and a sleep Full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing'. A
fantastic album - it gives me sweet dreams! Rock on :)
Friday
05.03.04 Kate Green from Cambridge says:
I'm sure that this will be one of hundreds of very similar messages that
you receive over the next few days - but it has to be said. Last night
was outstanding! It was worshipful, professional, totally inspiring and
down right fantastic! You sounded even better than on the album and that's
saying something and all the thought and creativity that had gone into
the visual side of things was spot on. I had two nonChristian friends
there who used words like 'wow', 'beautiful' and 'unique', they talked
about how they must tell others about you. It was such a brilliant thing
to bring ones friends to and I imagine if you had another concert booked
even within a month you could more than double the already large audience
you drew last night. Well done guys and thank you!
Friday
05.03.04 Dorothy Wells from Stoke Mandeville
says: We thoroughly enjoyed the CD launch gig. Thank you. Your music is
distinctive, reflective, it has a character and energy that refreshes
the spirit. I liked your use of a variety of instruments to great effect,
and the way you aren't afraid to use minimalism in sound to put space
in your music. We love the CD; it's excellent: your live sound was a different
experience -- a great experience!
Thursday
04.03.04 Paul Hunt from Cambridge says:
Finally I have made it on to the weblog - and not before time or many
many hints I might add. It just goes to show that dropping in to see some
friends, drinking tea and eating Dan's mums homemade cake may just be
more significant than playing keyboards, lending kit, driving vans, sorting
out projectors, and being an all round great guy to know..........or is
it??!! I love you guys and know that its reciprocated. In the words of
the great & lovely Kathie Brown: 'You guys are my friends.......I
haven't got many others!'... AAhh
Tuesday
02.03.04 Mary Simuyandi from SAWSTON
says: Great to see and hear you Susie. Loved the songs and am listening
to the CD (Bought one as a wedding present!).'The Western Reach' is hauntingly
like my feelings for Zambia, well written Daniel. Take care, love Mary
Monday
01.03.04 Rachel from Cambridge says:
Congratulations on a fantastic gig on Friday night! I wasn't quite sure
what to expect, but you are one of the best live bands I have heard in
ages! The music was stunning - not quite sure how it managed to be relaxing
and invigorating at the same time, but it was! Just to confirm that you
have passed the audition with flying colours for the SCA Battle of the
Bands competition! The finals are taking place at WEST ROAD CONCERT HALL
ON WEDNESDAY MARCH 3 2004, starting at 1930, if anyone would like to come
along to support Note For a Child. Tickets are only £5, on the door
or reserve via mail@cambridgesca.org.uk. All proceeds go to the SCA (reg.
charity no. 263361). More info about the SCA can be found at www.cambridgesca.org.uk,
but it is a very good cause and the line-up of bands is going to be fantastic!
Well, with you, how could it not be?!

we enjoyed the gig on Friday. It was absolutely breath taking. We felt
so proud that we could bring our friend along to such an amazing concert
done by friends. You have put such hard work into it and we are so proud
of you.
Saturday
28.02.04 Lucy Bunce from Cambridge
says: Dear Susie and Daniel, I so enjoyed your gig last night. Having
heard your great album I was intrigued to see how you translated it into
a live gig - amazingly is the answer! I think the song-writing is just
beautiful and the mix of live performance with loops worked really well.
Visually you look stunning as a band and I'm looking forward to the next
gig. Lucyx.
Saturday

loads of people turn up and everything goes beautifully. Do tell us how
the the in-ear monitoring works out!!. James will take care that the sound
is just what you want it to be. Love Dave & Sue
Saturday
14.02.04 Dave G from Cobham says:
Enjoying the CD. Ordered it after hearing 'Impossibly Beautifull' on a
Cross Rhythms magazine cover disk. Always a bit of a risk as sometimes
they turn out to be by far the best track or unrepresentative but I wasn't
disappointed by this one. Good album. First hearing verdict 'pleasant
but a bit samey just saved by the ethnic bits later on' but repeated plays
bring out the subtleties all the way through. It will get many more plays.
Thanks.
Wednesday
11.02.04 Jenny from London says:
A lovely [free CD] . . . It started to 'follow me back' after just one
listen . . . Don't be lulled into 'playing safe' . . . it's a wild and
pained God we also serve . . . All the very best - I appreciate the attention
to detail and valuing your fans.
Monday
09.02.04 Catherine from Ealing
says: Absolutely LOVE the album - it has taken up permanent residence
in my CD player! Great for completely chilling out to after a hard day
at the office. Everyone who's heard it thinks it's great - had to stop
my brother from pinching it, by promising to get him a copy. All the best
for the gig in Cambridge - Catherine.
Sunday
08.02.04 sarah and mike from Ringwood
says: great to find your web site and hear your latest news. We're glad
to hear that the gig at South Africa House went well - we are very excited

up for you - I'm sure others cannot fail to be impressed with your music
in the way we have been. We pray for you often and know that he will continue
to use your music to reach many people in many ways x
Thursday
05.02.04 Ben Stirling from Plymouth
says: I got your CD for Christmas, from my cousin in-law. Never heard
of you before, but absolutely love the CD. Played it to a few friends
as well and they think the same. Then popped over to your website and
noticed that Daniel did the design on this too! Well Daniel you are a
very talented man! I work at a web design agency in Plymouth, and I showed
the site to a few of the people in the office and they are really loving
it too! Keep up the good work! Ben :-)
Wednesday
28.01.04 Bernadette from Bournemouth
(AKA Glasgow) says: Dear Dan and Susie A very Happy New Year to you both
and I hope the seasonal festivities were good to you! Been listening to
the album non-stop since I received it (the others were given as gifts
and thoroughly appreciated!). The only thing is you didn't send instructions
with the CD on how to bring yourself to take it OUT of the machine and
listen to something else!!! It is magic! In fact I'm off on holiday on
Saturday and I'm going to have to buy myself a personal CD player because
I don't think I could manage a fortnight without it. Well let's face it
- you two started it! Anyway good luck for the New Year whatever comes
to you both. Love and Best Wishes Bernie x P.S. Dan, Is that fan club
up and running yet?
Monday
05.01.04 Kev from Bournemouth says:
Daniel Goodman on Radio 4!!!! Who would have thought it? This time last
year he was wearing designer clothes; now he can be found relaxing in
a quilted lounge jacket, cravat and a fine pair of campbell tartan slippers.
Seriously though, man, you were great! You sound impressive in whatever
setting you choose to unleash your humble yet awesome talents for singing,
songwriting, arranging and modelling an example of Christ that makes others
want to follow. Oh and Happy New Year!
Monday
29.12.03 Tim Hurren from Harrogate
says: Received your free CD and it is one of the best albums of contemporary
Christian music I have heard. Many thanks. I will review it in the our
church magazine and encourage people to buy it. However I work at the
Harrogate branch of Wesley Owen and wondered if you plan to distribute
the CD via Christian bookshops. Your album has wide appeal and only getting
it from gigs or via the web might restrict circulation. Let me know if
there are plans for wider distribution. Every blessing and all the best
for the New Year.
Monday
15.12.03 Jenny Downard from Acton, London
says: I really enjoyed your concert in Ealing and was very glad to listen

to Croydon some time.

28.11.03 Jo from Chester says:
thanks for the free CD i really like it, can't wait to hear more...
Sunday
16.11.03 Mark from Warley says:
Thanks for the free CD. Very very good . Especially with what I presume
was a low budget compared to todays big acts. You deserve a bigger audience
and to that end may I suggest sending the CD to Radio 2's Bob Harris,
I'm a regular listener of his Sat. show and I think your music would fit
