A. This River - a great song with a big fat guitar solo at the end, followed by The Western Reach, which is a great song with a big fat... well, you get the idea.

A. The Day of Your Return. Top tune.

A. The Performance Cafe slot at Greenbelt 2005 was pretty special, as was having "Happy Birthday" sung by the audience at New Wine.

A. Sigur Ros and Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Anything spacious and slightly melancholy.

Q. What was the best gig you ever went to?
A. Daniel Lanois at The Garage, in London.

A. Blakeney, on the North Norfolk coast.
