Note
For a Child was formed in 2003 by Daniel Goodman and Susie Beattie who used
to meet together once a week on a Tuesday night to have dinner and do some
songwriting. Before they had a studio they would sit around the piano with
a guitar, a bottle of wine and notebook.
The release of the free Limited Edition EP was the point when NFaC started
to make waves. An effective website and successful early performances saw
the messageboard carrying greetings from all over the world as the band
began to work on their first full album in earnest.
Impossibly Beautiful was released for Christmas 2003 and soon became the
critally acclaimed debut we know it to be today. Huge support from bookshops,
festivals and fans followed the Glastonbury Unsigned Bands final and solid
favourite 'September Song' found its way into the heart of Radio Two DJ
Bob Harris.
In October 2005 the eagerly anticipated' Eternal Curve' became NFaC's second
studio album. A collection of songs to entertain and enchant, Eternal Curve
looks set to amaze followers and win fans.
In 2006 Note For a Child look to the future with a new line-up after the
departure of Daniel Goodman. |
